Jewelry photography - heavy liftingJewelry photography is one of the hardest things a photographer can be called upon to do. Of course a macro lens is required, I use the Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro. But lighting is where the real challenge comes in. Shiny metal reflects everything and the gems need to sparkle. I spend at least an hour creating the setup I use and it has worked well for many years. Here are a few recent images for Judith Arnell Jewelers.
